PES6 demo on Live

It's all kicking off.

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is the latest game to arrive in demo form on Xbox Live Marketplace, offering a bit of impetus for those of you who've been sitting on the football fence all this time.

A demo of rival title, FIFA 07, is already available to download.

The PES demo is limited to Xbox Live Gold members for now, with Silver users to be offered it on 29th December. It weighs in at a whopping 1.31GB, and there's no word on what exactly is in it.

For more on the game, check out our review - and bear in mind that a recent patch has helped improve multiplayer performance significantly.

Demo released almost 2 months after the game... tsk tsk!

EuroSexMachine is very right, FIFA 07 is way better than PES6. Serves Konami right for being even worse at the cynical cash-in game that we all readily accuse EA of than EA themselves.

Although Pro Evo is flawed, the gameplay outstrips Fifa in nearly every area.

No excuse for a demo 2 months too late though

Wish I could slap my ps2 pad into my 360... it just feels so weird... just a shit design me thinks :( Pro evo plays great.. took me a few matches 2 get into the swing ;) + I think having the demo now may drive a small boost of Evo sales for Crimbo so perhaps it was a clever business move?

Tried the fifa demo and was sick all over my 360... not sure what has happened because I tried the fifa demo on the PC and it was playin' ok... so what the hell happened 2 the 360 version? 'clunky' is how I would describe it.

Anyway off 2 play some evo :)

Pro Evo 5 >>>>> Fifa 07 360 in my opinion

This is great news. Recently got a 360, so now I can decide whether or not I prefer 6 to 5, which till this day fucking OWNS, and is the best football gamer made, in this writers humble opinion.

Yep, while Fifa is good on the 360, Pro Evo still tops it in terms of gameplay for me.

Does anybody here know if this demo is available to Americans?

It's all a matter of opinion, but PES6 is better than FIFA 07. Yes, even on the 360, although the bad implementation by Nokami makes the differences smaller.

i've been in the Pro evo camp since the first version of it on PS2 but i was tempted this year to go with fifa year purely from the lack of effort on the 360 version, and the botched up online mode, eventually made my mind up for me! now having stuck with it, and mastering the side step amongst other things, i have to say that i'm now fiinding it very hard to like or get into the new pro evo........ and i'd even go to say that fifa once you get the hang of it coming from pro evo actually plays a better game of football!

    Am i a bad person?

or is this year actually 'THE SEASON'

Excellent demo. Better than PES5? Yes, I think so. It feels slower, and thereby, more realistic. And who said you can't sprint away from defenders? Y'all aint playin' the game right! Furthermore, it really is amazing how much better the game feels on the 360's pad. It's smaller form factor and shoulder buttons make all the difference to a series that was already the mutts nuts on the original Xbox and Controller S. Shame you can't play two player though.

The greatest game on the greatest ever console.

Microsoft really are teaching the likes of Nintendo and Sony a lesson in the art of making great videogames.

It's a pity then Konami broke the 'greatest game' LOL.

i thought pro evo on the 360 was ugly, clunky and found that while the physics were pretty good it bore no resemblance to actual football...every one-on-one blazed miles over the bar? probably. fifa wins this one for me because its actually a bit like football.
