Konami plans to offer a free team-sheet update for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 at the end of February.
This tracks all the shuffling of the January transfer window. So Arshavin will now be at Arsenal, Tottenham will have most of their old players back, Emile Heskey will lumber around for Villa and Liverpool will carry on being unconvincing. It's quite fun when Tom's not here.
The update also tweaks thousands of player statistics to represent their performance over the first half of the season. Apparently there will be around 200 extra players added, too.
EA cut the price of FIFA 09 Live Seasons to cover the same busy January transfer window, incidentally.
And the latter feature was just one of the many that helped FIFA finally edge ahead of long-term football champion Pro Evolution Soccer last year.

for some stupid reason I sat down two nights ago and moved as many players around as I could be bothered to, just because I have OCD like that.

@Tobs - Dear Konami, does this make up for closing down the PES 6 servers on Sunday? I bought your stupid PES 08 and PES 09, but they are rubbish compared to PES 6 and you know it!!!
Please don't say this is true?! I'm so close to getting the achievement for winning 100 games on line. THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!! |

The PC and PS2 servers are gone, mate. We had a message up for a month, thanking us for our loyalty to the series and announcing the close date for the servers. It might be different for the xbox as Konami are clearly in bed with M$ for the last two years over the PES series, if that's the case then lucky you, enjoy it while you can. For the last few hundred players left playing PES 6 on PS and PC it is game over - a way of forcing people to buy their new games... kicking loyal fans in the teeth more like...

Unconvincing is referred to PES2009....???
Pes6 thanks god is still a terrific game with a great mod community, some people are working on an independent server to keep pes6 alive and kicking. Just a matter of weeks and we'll be playing on line again!!!! As far as pes is concerned i really have no hope, we have been waiting for a truly next gen game for 3 years and what we have is really something poor! |

I had PES2009 first, didnt like it so thought i would give Fifa09 a shot and for once its head and sholders above PES.
Hurt me to say it but i know a lot of die hard PES fans that have also done the switch. |

Ok, so can someone assist. I think I've made a faux pas. I edited the teams, players, stats etc on PES'09 back in October.
then I downloaded this new patch with all the January transfers. It worked well as it kept my stats etc but if I try to play this game offline it won't load any of the data files. There's nothing corrupt as I've deleted and reloaded twice. Why can't you still play this game file without an internet connection? This is shit. |
