I'll buy it. It will probably never be played much with and go straight into the ps2 library, but better that than regretting it afterward. P3 was rather ace.

Same here, haven't time to play it now, early summer would be a great time for it, but P3 was excellent (provided you make allowances for the form, occasional grinding and such) but will pick this up now, rather than have it disappear from the shops and never be able to try it out.

I still haven't got Persona 3. Despite all the great reviews it just...doesn't look like my sort of RPG. That said, Persona 4 does remedy one of my main concerns by giving you full control over your party's actions.

I've had it pre-ordered for a while now. If I enjoy it then I'll go back for P3.

If only I hadn't sold my PS2 three years ago and wasted my money on 'modern' consoles.

had this on preorder the day they started taking them. Need to finish Persona 3 FES first though, about 40 hours in and from what I can tell about another 60 to go!

"The stylised art influenced by manga and Japanese pop culture returns"

Yeah, just like anything manga or anime related these days.
Gone are the days when different workshops had their own unique styles but all slightly familiar. Now it all looks like it came from an anime production line in Korea or something.

Anyways, not really fond of JRPGs but thought I'd take a look as everyone and his son is banging on about this.
PS2 as well, didn't expect that.

Pre-ordered this from Play weeks ago and I didn't see anything about a soundtrack mentioned then. Sounds like a nice addition.

pre-orders are cool. No up-priceing now they've included the OST (If you use the right sites that is, hmmm).

I'm holding back on getting persona 3 just because I know this is just around the corner. I have a feeling it will get a perfect 10.

I'm over 30 hours into the game, and it's very good. I liked Persona 3 as well, but I stopped playing it. This one has had me hooked. The gameplay is a little meh, but the battle mechanics are good, and the supporting characters are strong enough to make it hard to prioritize who to invest time in getting to know. The music is repetative, but not really irritating. So, not an instant classic, but a must buy for any RPG interested PS2 owner, in my eyes. It's a fun game to play.

Loving Persona 3 at the minute, 70hrs in and still a fair bit to go. Lovely. Don't see myself completing it by the time P4 comes out though so I don't know if I will buy it then or wait.

Ah fuck it, may never get it again knowing what PAL JRPG releases are like.

Also, SE releasing an Atlus game? I presumed they were rival companies of sorts. Shows how much I know ;)

I just aquired a copy of Persona 3 FES and will be starting it tonight. If I like it, I'll grab Persona 4 as the reviews for that were even better.

"Square Enix reckons the whole thing will take around 60 hours to finish."

In my case, the final save was made after 92 hours. And I have to say I loved every minute of it. Sure, you have to do some conscious levelupping in order to survive the dungeons but combat is so much fun I didn't mind it. To all the people currently playin P3: P4 is an improved, more comfortable game. Warm recoomendations. Oh, and a soundtrack CD with the PAL release? I know I am getting THAT!!!

In the first round I clocked in around 120 hours +. Still didn't do all velvet room quests, but I simply enjoyed the game so much...
