PC version of Braid gets delayed
It's now out on 10th April, says Blow.
Bad news for those looking forward to the release of Braid for PC tomorrow - it's been delayed.
According to creator Jonathan Blow, writing on the Braid blog, the game will now be out on 10th April. This is because extra time is needed "just to fix some problems that came up in testing with various versions of Windows".
"Sorry for the delay, I know folks have been waiting a long time for the PC version and it’s not so great to have to wait an extra 10 days," Blow wrote. "But it’s only so that I can try to ship you guys a version that works well (which frankly is impossible in Windows, but the best I can do is make it work for most people most of the time)."
He went on to promise there is "a special surprise planned concerning the music in Braid".
The PC version is due for release via Steam, Greenhouse, Impulse and GamersGate, plus possibly "one or two other places". It'll cost GBP 9.99, EUR 12.99 or USD 14.99.
Here's hoping it's as good as the XBLA game, which scored a big fat 10/10 in our review.
