Live Arcade version tomorrow.

Another week, another Digital Eclipse makeover for a Midway arcade game, with Xbox Live Arcade set to welcome the arrival of '80s classic Paperboy tomorrow morning at 9am GMT.

Never played Paperboy? It's simple - players control a git on a bike, delivering newspapers while dodging obstacles. The idea is to deliver without damaging things, missing too many houses or smashing into dogs. Much.

There's a multiplayer mode on top of the original single-player, allowing for co-op on one console or over Xbox Live, and Digital Eclipse has given it one of their enhanced graphical and audio makeovers, too.

Paperboy will go on sale for 400 Microsoft points, with a playable demo also available. Look for it tomorrow.

i darent even guess how many 10ps I slotted away on this fecker in my formative years, I hope its not a massive disappointment. having said that, I spent a fortune on scramble back in the day, and that is indeed poo.

And getting through that final obstacle course/construction site seemed to be about 50% luck.

There is far too much retro game content getting released on XBLA for my tastes. Paperboy was OK when it was current, but times have moved on. Its a 5 min journey of nostalgia these days.

All these cheap port titles are just cynical revenue generators. Where are the Marble Blast Ultras and Geometry Wars of the XBLA world?

Is it possible to display the comments right below the article? It's hard to refer to it, i.e. the article, when you have to click back and forth all the time. Not that I would want to right now, but it's something that's been disturbing me for the longest time reading EG now.

@topic: loved PB on GameBoy but barely made it through the first level. Maybe it was because we played it during lessons in school under our desks, and between our thighs. ^^

I love this game, I only started to play it recently...last week on the NES but it's really good! I love throwing the papers at people and things just to see what happens e.g. throw it at a ELDERLY couple on the pateo and they drop off LOL

Another week, another disappointment as one single game trickles onto XBLA.

I don't think they even have Worms or SWOS. M$ might as well tell us that Elite is going to appear on XBLA then release 50,000 more 80's coin-op conversations and another 1,000,000 Lumines rip-add-off-on packs.

Wii VC pishes all over XBLA at the moment.
