Panzer General/Tower Bloxx for XBLA
War and puzzling from Wednesday.
The sounds of war and industry will reverberate throughout the halls of Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow thanks to Panzer General: Allied Assault and Tower Bloxx Deluxe, which are this week's new games.
That's serious, chin-stroking war and cutesy cartoon industry, just to be clear, since PGAA is a turn-based card and board game hybrid based around World War II and Tower Bloxx is a skyscraper-building puzzle game.
Both will go for 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / €9.60).
PGAA, developed by Petroglyph and published by Ubisoft, covers numerous battles in 1944 and 1945, including Utah Beach, Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge, and sees you gathering armies of tanks, artillery, infantry and other units to try and sort out those pesky Nazis/Allies once and for all.
There are 60 cards to collect, and there's a two-player mode for people who like to fight each other on the beaches etc. Check out the screenshot gallery for a glimpse of what to expect.
As for Tower Bloxx Deluxe, the idea is to build up skyscrapers quickly by dropping new floors in accordance with various restrictions. Sounds quite neat, actually, and there's a PC version available for those who can't wait for tomorrow's XBLA release.
