Look at that, another game with Trophies. That would bring the total to, wow, four games which support them. Good job pushing Trophies, Sony.

/sarcasm and bitterness at the slow uptake of Trophies

It's six currently and will be seven by the end of the week, but take-up has been slow, yes.

Interestingly, Novastrike is the first game to support trophies that isn't published by Sony, and there won't be a third-party disc-based game to support them until Bioshock at the end of October. Which kind of shows there's a problem.

You're right, of course. I only looked at retail games on ps3trophies.org.

What I'm worried about is the lack of patches, even for Sony's first party games. For the upcoming titles, the situation's not so bad.

All games released in 2009 will include trophys mandatoraly, this year has just been optional as games were already in late development.

Any chance of a re-review of this game now that its had all these changes made to it, and no i dont mean the trophies.

trophies arent failing they only just started, give the programmers a chance to put them in their games!

There are tons coming soon, and as for the retroactive implementations, they are only ever going to happen if they can find a business reason to do so.

I bought the game from the EU PS Store but it was way to hard to be fun. Hopefully the updated version will be more forgiving.

Trophies will only be retroactive if the original save was locked to your machine or profile by the developer

I would rather the developers are working on their new games than having to go back and patch games just for Trophy support tbh.

I find not adding trophies to games which support achievments on x360 like DMC4 as lack of respect for consumers.

It's a shit game that won't be improved by having trophies. I took a punt on it hoping it would play like Time Pilot '84 and I found out it doesn't, so far I have loaded it up twice and can't see myself going back to it.

@cthulhu_steev: They have made other changes to the game (other than trophies) which should make it more accessible. I haven't tried the new version though...

Rapid-fire would be nice! I'll run the update and give it another shot because I really want to like the game.

@betahoven

there is a Third party game getting trophies before then.

Ferrari Challenge is getting its patch next week. Unless you meant actually released on the disc at launch with trophies in which you are right.
