When people come running in during an E3 presentation to complain about the noise, you know the guns are pretty loud.

No. Soon though, apparently. Really, it looked unbelievably clean for PS2 code. It was only a room and a small street though.

IGN said it was amazing too. I just hope it has an 'easy' mode :)

Yah, they said PS2 and Xbox in the demo. Good, frankly. If Burnout 3's anything to go by is should be a technical marvel. Xbox Live support as well, hopefully.

I wanted to say "bah, another shooter!" then I remembered that Burnout 2 was "just another racer". *GRIN* Go Criterion!

Technologically, maybe. But what about 'fun'? IMHO nobody's made a better racing game than Burnout 2 this generation. Hell, even *I* like playing Burnout 2 and I hate driving games!

Yes maybe, but the FPS genre has some very high benchmarks and a lot of companies are making FPS games. I doubt that a multi-platform affair can bring anything to the table that other games could not easily improve upon.

Downlaod some Burnout 3 movies, looks amazing.

And what about everything just said in this preview about how great the game looks?

I remember reading in a Spanish PS2 mag about 1,5 years ago that Criterion had discovered some new ways to optimize the PS2 code on Burnout 2 and that they were keen to start implementing these ideas in their upcoming games and the Renderware engine. Seems like this and Burnout 3 is what they were talking about.

If it's a new Burnout, it sure doesn't sound like it from the artickle. I sounds like boring me-too shite.

I'd hoped this was about late 1980's pop band "Black", I'm very disappointed.
