    Now I see what the developer meant by saying the choices are now between being lawful evil and chaotic evil.

    Lawful evil? Slaughter the Roman empire in the midst of baby seals but don't touch them. Chaotic evil? Slaughter the Roman empire and kill all the baby seals.
