Erm, I've never heard of GamesCom but might be more interested if I knew more about it. What country is it in? (Assuming Germany?)

Ok so to summarise

It may or may not be what Leipzig has turned into and it's being held somewhere in Cologne, which may or may not be harder to get to for attendees.

alllrighty then....

They off to a flying start then; obviously wanting to be seen as an international games exhibition, but no-one here yet has any idea about this show!

@penhalion: Yes it's wat formerly was in Leipzig. Cologne is easier to get to and a more lively city then Leipzig.

How come Germany hosts Europe's biggest game fair when their government clearly hate computer games and blame them from everything from gun crime to bad weather?

"political debates"

Don't neglect this if at all possible, EG, and if you can, please interview and utterly demolish a German anti-games politico. This should be great fun.
