The original Aliens vs. Predator has been updated to support Steam-powered multiplayer.

Dedicated servers are not on the menu, but there are in-game lobbies and friends can be invited via the Steam overlay. Aliens vs. Predator Classic 2000 costs Ł2.99 on Steam.

should have had multiplayer in it before now, the potential for more old school avp office lunchtimes was why i nabbed it of steam recently heh.
anyway, the wait is over, let the last man standing marines versus aliens matches begin... again... \o/

I'm really off MP lately, even L4D is taking a break now. I'm really liking the single player on this though (only ever played AvP2) so I might have a dabble with the online. Ł2.99 well spent!

I sold my copy of the original AVP many many years ago, might be worth picking it back up again for a little blast. Anyone know if it will work ok on Windows 7?

I've still got the original AvP but it doesn't appear to like being installed on XP - I might try again, because it was an enormous amount of fun!

I gave up on AvP 'cos it was just too nerve wracking to play.

Nice. The game is a classic and I downloaded as soon as it came on Steam, to get MP now is even better.

I'll never forget AvP, playing as the Alien was unlike anything I'd ever played before, crawling down a wall to bite off some marine's head, can't await the next one
