The story better have more detail than that guy's face.

Hmm, I don't see any Hot Man-On-Man Action, are you sure you're talking about these pictures? I know it can be hard remembering which open window is which.

Starting to think Nintendo may have made a mistake with the whole HD thang to be honest. It's fine for tennis and party games, but when you need to have more character and involvement in the story it is going to be lacking in comparison.
Yes you can still have character and involvement in simpler looking games, but expectations move on.

Unfortunately, the design sucks on that title here. I'm not going to play a game as a featureless, hairless pink dwarf with a bonbon on his head. No effin' way.

VC and LiveArcade have taught us that some stuff which we thought was great at the time is crap now.
I'm not saying that without HD the games are crap, just that with HD they can be better - assuming a similar level of design.

I think because we have been treated to the nice looking HD games people are overlooking what actually makes them special.
There is a Counter Strike homebrew for the PSP which looks "gay" if we are to use that as a term for graphical quality. However it retains the excitement and character of the real CS.
Graphics are not the be all and end all I say bring it on. All exclusives for the Wii can only be a good thing.
And for the record. FF7 is as much fun now than it was when it was released. I have just played through it on my psp and its still emotive and fun to play. I do however agree that sometimes our rose tinted view of older games is sometimes much nicer than the reality. There are exceptions however, OOT, Mario64 to name two others. Oh you want non nintendo products? How about MGS1?

A cel-shaded Link is one thing. A boiled egg topped with a gobstopper is another.
I just hope it doesn't take itself too seriously. JRPG plots are ludicrous at the best of times- how am I supposed to put up with all that angst and melodrama if the protagonist looks like he'd be good on toast???
