NovaLogic doing new Delta Force game?

Teaser on website suggests so.

NovaLogic has put a teaser on its website advertising a previously unheard of Delta Force game for release this year.

It goes by the name of Delta Force: Angel Falls, although some have seen it as Black Ops, bizarrely.

Underneath the image is a message suggesting more information is coming soon.

No other details have been given at present, but it will be the first new NovaLogic release in the series since Delta Force: Xtreme in 2005.

Delta Force is a tactical first-person shooter that appeared originally in 1998, and introduced a more realistic hide-and-shoot style of gun play. Was terrifically good fun in multiplayer.

Its popularity was evident and it has spawned a further nine follow-up titles since.

What could this new business be then, Eurogamer reader?

Awesome. I've been wondering what these guys have been up to for a while. I loved Black Hawk Down and Joint Operations.

Ah, Delta force. My first fond memories of multiplayer long range sniping standoffs. Happy, happy days.

Ah, so long ago. I was awesome at sniping and sneaking knife kills in the Delta Force 2. Good times. Never really had that sort of game play since then even with Ghost Recon

For a brief, very brief moment, I confused Novalogic with Novagen. And got confused, but also excited.

    Hope they use voxels again

    DF2?! Blasphemy!

ICE FLOWS multiplayer in DF1 ruled all!
also, the voxels tech was amazing back then!

    Arrr the memories.
Who knows...they could pull something special out the bag.
Will struggle to beat DF1 tech/gameplay for its time.

Lets hope they do a good job!

Joint operations had immense potential. I remember flying a chinook across to an island to help a pinned down friend, took about 10 minutes and I landed it beautifully, only to get shot dead trying to unload my jeep out of the back.

Loved just watching all the tracer fire flying everywhere in intense battles. Nice.

Oh, and yes - DF2 long grass :)

Have some fond memories of this online. Massive environments lead to the longest snipe fests I have ever witnessed. That said it became a joke whenever you moved and got picked off from 2 miles away. Voxels were the 'future'. Didnt Commanche use them as well?

Yes it did. But I'm not interested in anything from Novalogic. Maybe if they do a cutesy little DS platformer :)

When I played the first delta force on Pc years back it gave me a similar feeling to how Crysis did when I played that. That voxel tech or whatever it was felt really immersive at the time.

Good to hear it may return though i'd hope with some seriously beefed up tech (maybe even cryengine2 ;P )

God I loved the orignal Delta Force. Happy memories of sniping from over 800m with a 50.Cal. And considering there was 56 person matches on 56k it wasn't as laggy as some games are today.

Oh and Joint Ops was fintastic. If their new game is anything like that and on the 360 it would be a definate buy from me.

    My first MP experience . . . >sigh< DF2 long grass . . . that was just absolutely amazing.

"My first fond memories of multiplayer long range sniping standoffs."

Yes. More of this please. Get rid of the auto sight adjustment (for scopes) you started adding in the newer games as well.

Nothing has done sniping online as good as the first few Delta Force games.

    Woo, DELTA FORCE!

I remember playing the old ones, classic fun.
