Make it run smooth, make the controls work on console, and make it able to play user-made maps... Then I'll buy it.

The PS3 supports mouse and keyboard for games though, e.g. Unreal Tournament III, unlike the 360 (because Microsoft said no) so there's no real reason for EA not to include them in that version as an optional way of playing the game.
Agreed. The "online advantage" excuse doesn't hold water either, the game can always separate rooms based on used controls.
