No new Resi 5 gameplay video this week

But you are getting an interview.

Capcom has told Eurogamer that we won't be seeing any new gameplay footage of Resident Evil 5 released this week despite reports to the exciting contrary.

According to the publisher, the special DVD attached to Famitsu in Japan this Friday will only contain an interview with a producer on the title, not a fresh glimpse at the action as our chums at ThreeSpeech suggest.

The disc has been created to celebrate 25 years of Capcom, and could reveal some fresh information about the hotly anticipated survival-horror game. So, expect more around Friday, and until then just imagine you're staring at door slowly opening on a black background like in the old days.

    More like the controversy from the last showing has frightened them somewhat. Better to not show the images until it's too late to stop it.

    The fact you still remember it so clearly kind of prove the point doesn't it. What video could they possibly show where someone somewhere (most likely a politician in election season and most likely an Obama supporter) wouldn't find it offensive?

    Bionic commando even lost his ethnicity on the sly a few weeks back for some reason.

    I was one of the people picking apart that ONE WOMAN'S points on her blog. Her admittance that her family had allowed a minor to own the game, her admittance that it was ok to kill white people but not black (all zombies should be white, apparently), her own racist views that hip hop was dead when white people started listening to it.

    So yes, i do remember it.

    Irrelevant really, because the videos out there now, and black people are getting shot.

    Better not to show it? Rubbish.
