Surely what he says suggests that the US version is the original?

Man, I can't stop talking about how great No More Heroes is. Hearing about a sequel is some of the best gaming news in years.

Fuck YES!

NMH got it's identity ripped out of it's own ass when they censored it. Took away alot of the experience.

One of the reasons i still prefer Killer 7 to No More Heoreos is the gore. It's there for a reason, damn it!

Extreme version for me please.

-> MORZTAN: Thats what the Freeloader was for, to play the US version of NMH and also Smash Bros. early! Besides the hack n slash gameplay the cutscenes suffered too with the censored version having close-ups of skin where there's a trail of blood forming on the uncensored version. Once I saw that, there was no way I was getting the censored one!

Everyone is going to buy the "extreme" version, surely?

Good, a developer listening to what fans want and giving them a choice is a positive move. Depending on which version you buy, you wont feel cheated or that you have to settle for 2nd best.

Best gaming news ever. If you haven't got the original one do so now, it really is one of the best game ever!

Also, instead of releasing two SKU's and confusing the Wii-tards, why not just one version, albeit one with the option to turn the gore either on or off? :)

Still great news!

That's GREAT news because the video's of the censored version kept me away from ever playing it.

I for one loved the 'censored' UK version - it was annoying that they changed the blood for coins but that made it quite quirky and was not a deal breaker in my opinion.
With the sequel now we will have the option which is great and all will choose the uncut one no doubt!
What with this and madworld i have two great bloodthirsty games to look forward to on my 'kiddy' console!

IMHO Blood or no blood doesnt change the GAMEPLAY in any way shape or form.

so it doesnt bother me in the slightest.

But then i'm not a teenage boy desperate to appear "mature"

"But then i'm not a teenage boy desperate to appear "mature""

If that was aimed at me in any way, you couldn't be more far of :)

Anyway, for games like NMH and Killer 7 the gameplay is no were near what's important. Agreed, a lot of games could be the same with or without gore, but in this case, the gore is part af the offending "storytelling". And frankly, there's nothing offending in bursting into dust and coins. Or getting your hat chopped of, for that matter...
