No God of War 3 this year News

Sony has confirmed that we will not see God of War 3 this year.

Sony US boss Jack Tretton announced it as a title for "beyond holiday season" at the E3 press conference moments ago, before showing us a suitably dramatic trailer.

It showed storms raging through a crumbling Olympus, and eventually settled on the silhouette of protagonist Kratos. "In the end there will be only chaos," he growled, before the logo shot up and lightning bolts crashed down.

Hopefully we will have that for you soon.

The other "beyond holiday season" PS3 games mentioned were super-powered action game InFamous and MAG, an online action game for 256 players.

thats £40 of my money gone...along with Quantum of Solace, LBP, Killzone 2, Infamous, Fat Princess (clearly), Bioshock, Mirroe's Edge, DC Universe Online, Quest for Booty, Resistance 2. Damn, Im gonna be broke.

No Uncharted 2? What is going on Sony?

God of War 3 probably for next holiday season. Uncharted 2 may also be next holiday season.

God of War III, along with Uncharted 2, is the only game I actually care for as an exclusive PS3 game.

I hope to God (no pun) that it doesn't turn out rubbish. I'm pretty sure multiplayer (seriously, ffs) is going to be included, so my hope has dwindled already.
