No Euro Van Halen this year News

PlayStation 2 Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Robert Purchese

6 August, 2009

Activision has told Eurogamer that Guitar Hero: Van Halen will not be released this year in Europe.

The PAL date is "TBD 2010", a spokesperson for the publisher said.

Activision also confirmed the rather strange 22nd December US date reported earlier.

That same story has a full and official tracklist to eye up, by the way.

Thank god - how many more GH games can Acti squeeze into a year?

Seriously guys, it's getting old now and I suspect GH5 will be my last ever GH purchase.

So, in the next few months we have Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Band Hero and DJ Hero (for the vinyl-torturers among us) to look forward to. Hmm, talk about over-saturating the market...

Van Halen is not that big in Europe, so it's hardly a surprise.

They're probably not finished removing the brown M&Ms...

There was actually a real reason for that, it's on Snopes.

It was a way to check if the complicated technical specs of the contract were followed. They added the M&M comment somewhere in the middel. If they saw brown M&Ms, it meant the instructions weren't read properly and there could be more serious problems with the stage.

I'm sure the four people who intended to actually buy this are devastated.
