No Deluxe GHWT bundles for Europe News

PlayStation 2 Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Robert Purchese

8 October, 2008

Activision has told Eurogamer there will be no deluxe Guitar Hero World Tour bundles for Europe.

These were unveiled recently on the RedOctane store, and include extras such as recharge kits, instrument bags, key chains and t-shirts. All for a price, of course - in this case USD 240 (GBP 120) for the full band bundle.

Band bundles here - game, microphone, wireless drums, wireless guitar - go for around GBP 150 on retailers such as Play, Amazon and GAME. Most sling in a free wired bass controller, too.

Those same retailers all agree on a release date of 7th November for the game. However, Activision has said an official date for Guitar Hero World Tour would be announced soon.

I kinda suspected they wouldn't want to release this on the same day as GoW2. Earlier would be nice! :O

Also... why NO freaking drum and game package????
There IS a guitar package, and surely everyone has the guitars from previous games.

I'd like it too, especially when the singstar mikes are supported and you've got the guitar from the previous game as I do - but typically there's no drum package because the drum-kit is probably the most expensive to make. In a full pack with the other instruments, the high margin on the other instruments can mask this a little.

I'll probably want that scratch-pad for slide stuff and such though, at least to try it out. So I think I'll go for the full package anyway - IF I buy the game at all, which isn't certain yet ... little bit squeezed for cash and LittleBigPlanet is just so damn good.

seriously tempted by this...my housemate said he'd throw in £50 if I pay the rest and then as and when we go our separate ways I can keep it
