GSC Game World has said there will be no console adaptation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. before the PC sequel Call of Pripyat has been released.
"We think that whatever port of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for Xbox 360 won't come out before the full release of the game's sequel," Oleg Yarovsky, PR chief for GSC, told Stalker-Portal (translated by Strategy Informer.
"At the moment, all are busy with preparing the PC version of the game," added Yarovsky of Call of Pripyat. "What comes after - we'll see."
A console version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was revealed back in May, alongside Pripyat. Interestingly, however, Xbox 360 isn't the only machine GSC wants to get its radioactive hands on.
"We have become a developer not only for the Xbox 360, but also for the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii," he said. "We've been also developing a prototype for the PSP, but currently there's not enough manpower to make our ambitions come true."
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat will be released for PC this autumn. We've got some moving-pictures and still-pictures on our gamepage below.
