Ninja Gaiden PS3 DLC soon News

PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

9 August, 2007

Eidos has announced that downloadable content will soon be available for Ninja Gaiden Sigma, with the first of three packs available on 6th September.

Each bundle is built around a new Survival mode, which allows you to batter endless waves of opponents.

Weapon Master is the first one, and will include five challenges where you'll be given limited weaponry to see off as many enemies as you can.

The second pack is Speed Master, with a further five challenges where your time and power will be limited. You'll have to master your acrobatics to dispatch as many enemies as quickly as you can.

Last but not least is the Rachel Master download, where you'll play as new character Rachel in five challeges, in an effort to be come the best female fighter on the block. Well, PlayStation Network.

Eidos was unsure on pricing at the moment, unfortunately - so they might even turn out to be free.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma was released on PS3 at the beginning of July, and is an enhanced remake of the popular Xbox fighting game. Head over to our Ninja Gaiden Sigma review to find out what we thought of it.

I feel like Ninja Gaiden has run its course, bring on Ninja Gaiden 2 Itagaki, no more boob games as they're lame.

Ha ha, good one EG, nice bit of humour there ;)

@ disc - isn't the DS version NG: Dragon Sword? I think Snipey means means a proper sequel on the new-gen consoles...

No "add the de-caps back in" DLC then?

I'm sure if this was another franchise it'd be a trilogy already.

Technically it's already a trilogy, but we're interested in the 3d version not the side scrolling version of yester-year.

Bit quiet in the PS3 room...........

Ninja Gaiden on the DS? how would that work? Not that im against the DS, as it is probably the most sold piece of hardware out there, possibly with the most potential as well.

IIRC, the two Hurricane packs on the original xbox version were free, weren't they?

edit: That said, I wish they would announce NG2 already...

The DS is held vertically like a book (ala Brain training and Hotel Dusk) and all control is done with the stylus, looks very good.

Not to turn this into a love-thread for the DS, but I'll probably be picking up the Ninja Gaiden game for it as it does indeed look splendid.
