Yeah I've played the first 3 chapters, all seems pretty balanced; camera only a problem when you're in a tight space and surrounded by giant enemies, which is probably quite hard to get around. Apart from the end of level 2 boss, that camera is irritating when you're far away from him.
The fighting is fantastic though, I love the new longer combos and the staff and claws - brilliant stuff! (completed the original on Normal and Hard) edit: also, the health bar mostly refilling after fights, up to the redline, Lives of a Thousand Gods now /restore your healthbar/ and the save points giving you health...I've not struggled at all for health so far. The only time I've died is at the end of level 2 boss, and that was before I looked at the sword combos...->XX->YY->Y = quick boss death.

great game really enjoyed playing it, could be VERY CHEAP at times but still a good game what so ever!

In fact I've just done the 2-bosses-in-a-row bit and you just hold block when he's got no health (and looks as though he's about to explode) and you seem to take no damage from it. TBH the bosses in NG2 are _loads_ easier than in NG; I'd (as any sensible person would) saved up a Lives of a Thousand Gods and a 9th Life of the Gods, so I just used those when my health was low and finished these guys first time.
Not showing off, just saying it's damn easy compared to NG. They give you *loads* of health! |

NG (or rather Ninja Gaiden Black) for me was a pinnacle of gaming (post SF2) and this was a huge disappointment. Pretty? Check. Violent? Check. But the finesse and style, and feeling a accomplishment and achievement of the first game, has all been lost. I am heartbroken. Stop wasting time making nonsense like DOA Extreme. Eyes on the prize!!

i think a lot of people put on the rose specs for nr1, each to their own though, i like 2 more |
