According to the game's official website, it'll be downloadable via Xbox Live.

The full game is down for a worldwide release in June. Specifically, the US will get it on June 3rd, but it's yet to be confirmed whether it will launch simultaneously in Europe.

    AWESOME.
Looking forward to this title after having beaten the first one a couple of times.

too far away i was hoping for a demo sooner, i just hope the game isn't censored over here, or at least if it is then hopefully it will be a region free game.

I was utterly shit at Ninja Gaiden (Black I think). So frustrating - those bosses had my squeezing my controller in rage. Shame as this looks quite slick.

Finished Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black and hell even Ninja Gaiden Sigma!

So yippeee will get my hands on the demo the first second its available to download!

This is GOTY as far as I'm concerned. If you don't agree, you're a noob, go back to DMC4 I hate U.

Holy fucking shit! i am sooooo downloading this DIGITAL CRACK!

Thought this was supposed to be released this month? If they have learned modern game presentation skills it might end up nice. Sigma's presentation was extremely lacking and releasing it in such a form on a 'next gen' console for full price was an atrocity IMO.

Cool, looking forward to this one.

Hey Sony look! It's a FREE demo.
  • Negotiator #10 4 years ago

This game just looks focused too much on action, how about some stealth gameplay to mix it up.

    @ParanoidZombie

Im with you on GOTY this year. DMC4 is also very good imo. Nothing beats Ninja gaiden of course.
  • muscleblade #12 4 years ago

I love Viking btw. The huge battles is very entertaining indeed.

Good - i was so gutted when the GDC 'playable' demo on LIVE turned out to be played on a video. False advertising if you ask me...
  • OllyJ #14 4 years ago

Stealth action!!!!! No way that's Tenchu, Gaiden is all about running in full pelt and letting rip with massive combos.

Can't wait for this, I'm hoping it's my GOTY too, NG has been me favourite game since I first played it, just so well designed (apart from the camera which sucks).

Werewolves, spiderbeast boss, dragons, chainsaws! how can this not be utterly amazing, and you just know the cutscenes are gonna give DMC4 a run for thier money in the OMG how cool stakes!
  • Vice.Destroyer #15 4 years ago

@Negotiator. Horses for courses. I personally HATE stealth games. So, so much. There will be Splinter Cell for you soon. And there is even Metal Gear Solid coming out soon for you. And MGS actually looks better than Ninja Gaiden 2. Something for everyone.
  • OllyJ #16 4 years ago

MGS looks totally diffent to NG, you really can't compare the two in any way! Unless you mean graphically?*

Where i'd still disagree as NG ,ay not look gorgeous but it throws a hell of a lot of stuff around and retains it's smotthness, plus it's got some great design, levels and charectors are as unique and varied as any game you could mention.

  • ZuluHero #17 4 years ago

lets just hope they add an easy option for us unskilled players this time :)
  • OllyJ #18 4 years ago

or people could just not give up after the 2nd boss this time!

the first one is one of the very few games that is hard to begin and then easier as you progress, but then when you go back to the first level again after finishing it you totally batter everything in sight!

I might just expload in excitement before then.

Still NG for DS was released yesterday in US. It's supposed to be top notch but very short. So might need to play it on hard from the off.

Might be completely obvious to some but I think one of the hardest things in NG was the cursed sword that gradually took away your health whilst you were using it - it took me ages to notice why I kept on dying! Oh and some dodgy platform sections!

Come on EG! Where's the review of NG for DS! (acronym heaven)

Les: that's probably because it was a port of an Xbox game from 2004. The fact that Sigma is one of PS3's highest-rated games doesn't make it "next gen".

edit: heh, metacritic still ranks it as the PS3's highest-scoring exclusive, equal with R&C and Uncharted.

Sigma didn't look all that much different from Black.. But it was definitely easier.

The first two levels in the game are probably the hardest in the game, if you can manage past them you'll have little problems later on. I hope they have a better difficulty curve in this one.
  • muscleblade #22 4 years ago

    @WinterSnowblind

    Really?

Alma (first form) stage 7 was much harder than the first bosses in Ninja gaiden and Black.

On the hard difficulty in Ninja Gaiden Black its almost impossible later on in the game due to some extremely hard enemies but quite managable in the first 6 stages.

I havent played Ninja Gaiden Sigma though but it sounds strange.

Well i got to a city after the airship bit. It didn't seem to be getting any easier, nor did my skill seem to be improving :(

EDIT: This is the original, originall xbox game i mean - without all the rediculous re-releases with different sub-titles ;)

Well, try mission 15 on very hard difficulty (NGB), guys. this one is ALMOST impossible. The game can get extremely tough, but it's always fair, you know there's always a way to get through, because the gameplay is just stellar. I've never ever seen any game that manages to make you fight against 2 bosses SIMULTANEOUSLY in Mission mode(2 Almas first form, or Dooku + Alma, it's crazy) , and yet the gameplay never breaks, it's just fantastic.
That's why NG is so much better than DMC4, because in DMD difficulty, DMC kills you with its crappy camera and gameplay approximations (the targeting system is awful).
And that's why I just can't wait for NG2 to be released.
