No more low speed takedowns.

Criterion has announced the next download for Burnout Paradise will be released via PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on April 24th.

Titled "Bogart", it will offer a variety of "game experience enhancements" including increased online race timer timeout. Head-on takedowns have been fixed, and "unfair" low speed takedowns have been eradicated.

Plus all manner of bugs have been sorted out, many of which had affected online play. For a full rundown, visit Criterion's website.

I'm intrigued to know how they've 'fixed' head-on takedowns... what does happens now? Also, the removal of low-speed takedowns - again, what happens now? Do you just nudge the other car?

Playing this again last night with some of the EG massif,

What some of us could do with is an extra ten seconds to choose cars during race preparation.

For those races where it wasn't enforced Van Racing, anyway.

Time to pop that in, Alex?

Very simple, and will have no effect whatsoever on those who like it 'as it is' because they can still play it 'as it is'.

What about all the people who really like it 'as it is' but would never have actually played it 'as it is' if there was a retry option in there, because they're so used to START-RESTART being the way every other racing game makes you play?
