Dirge of Cerberus out in Nov
Complete with healthy extras.
It’s been a long time coming, but European gamers will finally be able to get their hands on Dirge of Cerberus - Final Fantasy VII this November.
Our version won't have an online play option, unlike the Japanese version, on account of none of us having a hard drive for our PAL PS2s. However, it will boast more than 40 extra missions for hero Vincent to swan his way through.
Square-Enix is also promising an impressive list of additions and tweaks to the original Japanese release, giving Euro FF fans plenty to look forward to.
These include Vincent being able to move 1.2 times faster and use a new double-jump, quicker aiming that can be increased by customising weapons, a new rush move and a magic bar that no longer depletes when using the Limit Break attack. Feel the love.
There’s also a batch of modified weapons, artwork and sound galleries as well as a new character model to unlock by completing the Ex Hard mode, for those that consider themselves truly hardcore. You know, like, double hardcore.
So, November’s the month for those that can’t wait to indulge in slick gunplay, over-stylised hair and effeminate clothing.

Cosmopolitan, it's a spin off... kind of like devil may cry, but apparently very badly recieved.

I could only hope that the further tweaks turn it iinto a decent game but i think the game is a lost cause.
What's worse because i'm a Final Fantasy whore...

Said character became a fangirl favourite, and Square decided to make a game about him, accordingly his role in the FF7 Movie was increased for more people to remember him.
Ugh Square.

"are these changes likely to give it a better score than the Quite dreadful NTSC versions have been getting? "
7 isn't dreadful. It wasn't for the Japanese version and it wasn't for the american.
"FF7 Spin-off staring an optional side character that had no personality and never really said very much.

Vincent was a Very popular character(and not just among girls), probably as a result of the lack of background info provided in FF7. He was also one of the few FF7 characters in Ehrgeiz while many of the other FF characters weren't. His weapon, interesting Limit breaks and mysterious tormented nature made him a fave.

Nothing like Devil May Cry actually. More like...a third person shooter with a Time Crisis mentality when it comes to AI. unforutnaly the changes mean there is no skill involved in hitting things in the American version and it all becomes a little to straight forward.

It's the 29th on our release list at work too, so not just online shops.

I believe that really is the date now, quite a lot sources are saying it is so.
"Considering how bad the frame rate is on the US version I'd suggest avoiding this like the plague... "
The frame rate is pretty solid. There's a few odd moments that it drops (like on the Sierra and when facing off in the Kalm square) but apart from that it's solid.

You Can do that. But then I suggest playing in Hard straight away. Normal is too easy on mouse and keyboard.

As to the frame rate, I've only got as far as the WRO building (after Edge) and frame rate is HORRIBLE in the big starting room - You obviously have a much higher tolerance for these things than me.

But claiming that Vincent Valentine has no personality simply shows that you haven't played Final Fantasy 7 - or not the way its supposed to be played. He has a very interesting back story. You'd have to visit various places to learn about it. Plus keep him in your party of three.
The PAL version's basically the NTSC US version. There are some video reviews available, as usual.

He was like Squall in answering or commentating on everything with "I don't care. "It does'nt affect me" or the classic "..."
He was dull, life-less and his limit breaks were awful.
Cid needs his own game, it could be a cross between an RPG and a shmup
