Millar brothers enter Lion's den

Chez Molyneux, Lionhead Studios, has confirmed that Blizzard power duo Ron and Chris Millar are onside as the developer prepares for meteoric ascendancy.

As Lionhead gears up for Fable's September release, the developer has confirmed that Ron and Chris Millar, the brothers responsible for the likes of Diablo, Warcraft and StarCraft are to join the Guildford outfit.

Lionhead's march to power continues, the news arriving as the likes of Black & White 2, the successor to the 2.5 million PC seller, and Fable, tipped heavily as one of the largest games of Christmas this year, near completion. Lionhead overlord Peter Molyneux is having quite a good year.

"Ron and Chris have so much experience in games development and design that we felt that they would be an exciting and valuable addition to Lionhead," said Molyneux. "The games they have worked on speak for themselves and I am very much looking forward to working with them both".

The Millars will be starting work at the UK-based company immediately. It is unknown what projects they'll be working on, although they will presumably be put to work on new concepts. Lionhead and its satellite developers, Big Blue Box and Intrepid, currently have six titles in the works, including the practically unknown Dimitri.
