But it's rubbish! That's what hype does I suppose, it's like Halo 2 again. Only worse.

And apparently there was no number 5 in this week's chart :)

A lot of games are better than GTA. But, perhaps unsurprisingly, a game starring a rich kid in a private boarding school has less mass-market appeal than a game starring large numbers of niggers and their homies.

The 'n word' was not intended to be used in any racist context, it is now a common part of the chav/gangster/hip-hop culture, which makes up a substantial proportion of the PS2/GTA/50-Cent/NFS buying crowd. If Rockstar had replaced all instances of the word 'nigger' in GTA:SA with 'African American chap' then it wouldn't have had the same appeal to the intended audience. The fact that many millions of people bought, played and were happy with San Andreas and its copious use of the word 'nigger' goes to show that it is now acceptable when used in that context. And since just about every character in SA is referred to by the other characters as a 'nigger' or a 'homie', I see nothing wrong with my comment. That was, after all, a large part of its appeal to a large part of its audience.

PES6 is awesome.....its just a tweaked version of PES5, and FIFA will never be able to catch up.......the animations are superb in PES, which compliment the gameplay totally.....FIFA is getting better admittedly, but it just wont have the "pure" gameplay factor like PES have.....

Er, u having a laugh ain't ya? Fifa's too floaty, and the amount of "inbetween" animations of PES has always been tops.

Soz, but the last time i got excited about Fifa was back in the Snes days with Fifa 96.

Pure Gameplay, pure class for PES....All the way. BUT, there is one bad thing of PES....the online logging-in is a right ball ache! Konami need to sort out those stupid servers. Cause one minute u can log in straight away, then an hour later, its almost impossible...even when its not full!

Apart from that, its qual!

Nope, I'm not having a laugh. When the characters in FIFA move it looks like footballers moving. When the characters in PES move it looks like a jerked-up, badly put together mess.

In fact, to quote EG's FIFA 07 review:

The character models don't just look better now, they move better - the animation is an absolute revelation, with extremely smooth blending and transitions that make it the most authentic looking football game. Going back to PES feels downright weird after playing FIFA 07 - not just because of the relatively old school character models, but because of the way the outfield players move around with an unnatural crab-like sideways shuffle when not in possession. So, without a doubt, FIFA is a far smoother, faster feeling football game than PES6, no question.

Dreaming of what? As a PES player for the last five years I'm certainly not in any EA-bias camp, but having got both 360 games last week and played them a fair bit, the reality to me is that the physics and animation in FIFA 07 is light years ahead of PES6, which is still using the same system as it did back in 2001. I never thought I'd see the day that I preferred FIFA over PES, but despite being a PES fan traditionally I'm very glad that I'm not a PES zealot who will dismiss all FIFA games on principle and whack off over the thought of yet another under-featured and archaic edition on Pro Evo, and as such I've managed to discover that this year the altnerative to what is essentially the same game that I bought on PS2 five years ago is a whole new game with physics, animation and presentation that are fitting of its 'next-gen' status.

Pes6 online at the moment is a joke. Konami have no idea what they are doing when it comes to online play.

I own both Pro Evo 6 and FIFA 07 on the 360 and I agree with Zomoniac that the animation is far better in EA's game. Pro Evo 6's animation is good but it looks very unnatural at times with noticeable transitions between different moves and less variety in the moves themselves. FIFA 07 from the ingame view looks uncannily realistic with smooth, flowing animations and looks astonishing most of the time. I believe that Pro Evo 6 uses some hand drawn animation unlike FIFA which is motion-captured and uses an adaptive animation technique that allows for more natural looking motion. Of course none of that would matter if the game didn't play well but fortunately it does, very well in fact.

Pro Evo 6 plays the better of the two games but in terms of animation and graphics it looks vastly inferior in every area except perhaps for the facial likenesses which often look "off" in FIFA 07.
