Disney wants Kingdom Hearts III News

Kingdom Hearts producer Tetsuya Nomura claims that Disney's already clamouring for Square Enix to do a third in the cross-over RPG series.
Speaking to Dengeki PlayStation in an interview partially translated by IGN, Nomura says Squenix has "already been approached by the Disney side saying that they want us to make it".
But whether that'll happen is something he can't predict at the moment, with the team's schedule full up with the likes of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. "We have various ideas, but we're not at the point where we can say [we'll do it]," Nomura admits, adding that the hectic schedule means "it's physically impossible at the present".
The Kingdom Hearts team is currently working on the Japanese "Final Mix" edition of the sequel, which recently came out in Europe and won critical acclaim in most quarters.

I'm still not finished KH2, but I still want KH3. I wonder what console this'll be released on, PS3 is the obvious choice.

errr gamerbunny i beleive Europe already got the Final mix version of KH2, we got an upgraded version of what the japanese originally got, now the japanese are getting a re-release with all the extras we got in our version.
This is generally what happens with all the Final Fantasy games as well, by the time the european version is released theyve fixed more bugs and added a bit more content. |

GamesProgrammer: Unlike the FF International Editions, which just added bosses and bug fixes, The Final Mix's add any extra bosses, as well as more to the games that the West didn't get, which annoyingly include extra, pretty essential story, for instance, they added alot more about the Unknown into KH:FM, thats related to in KHII, which of course Western gamers wouldn't understand since we never got the original FM. That said, I've heard FMII will be released since it changes the story pretty radically.

Fallen_Angel: Thanks for the info pretty interesting, just finished KH2 and everthing seemed to get wrapped up neatly. I for one wouldnt mind if they left it at that, rather than trying to force out another sequel, for me KH2 really didnt have enough new content, with almost all of the same disney worlds from the first game, i found myself playing it more to finish the story line than gameplay. Altho the synthesis moogle i found very entertaining, but it does seem like synthesis will be a common feature of all squareenix RPG's since FFXI.

You can sympathise - I want KHII but am also 'too busy' so haven't got it yet and don't have time to play it. Though I might have a bit more time now I've finally played through Dragon Quest 8 last weekend...

would be great to see the game but i dont expect it anytime soon, 5+ years i can see. who knows though.
