New modes for FEAR News

PC News by Tom Bramwell

30 May, 2006

As promised, FEAR's been patched to version 1.05 - introducing two new multiplayer modes and two new multiplayer maps.

The patch is available direct from Sierra (at a healthy 411MB, or 150 or so for the 1.04-to-1.05 update file) and introduces the Control and Control All modes of play.

Control sees two teams fighting over three control points, building up a total score based on the length of time they hold the points, while Control All is a variant that has two teams fighting over five control points, tallying up scores but also ending in the event one team manages to gain control of all five.

The two new maps, meanwhile, are called Cafeteria and Heliport - and along with those the patch updates dedicated services and the public tools kit.
