Nintendogs dated in UK
Sounds like the US version.
Nintendo has announced plans to release [unleash, surely? - Ed] DS title Nintendogs in the UK on October 7th, and confirmed that our version will include three breeds not available in the Japanese version.
The three different packages will be Labrador Retriever, Miniature Dachshund and Chihuahua, each with six different breeds to choose. The three new breeds will be Golden Retriever, Siberian Husky and Boxer. These appear to be the same packages due out in the US on August 22nd.
For those of you who haven't been keeping up, Nintendogs is a dog-rearing game, masterminded by Shigeru Miyamoto, which sees you adopting a young pup and then using the stylus to nurture him, feed him, walk him and generally play with him. You can even take him to dog shows and tell him he's a good boy yes you are yesh you aaaaare!
Heck, we had a gay old time with the Japanese version and we barely understood most of it. Although we did cause confusion on public transport when it came to using the microphone to interact with our pooches - particularly yours truly, who made the rather ill-considered decision to name the poor thing [something unprintable - Ed]. Goodness knows why.

Well, if you're intending to play nintendogs with any of your friends, then yes, there is a point in waiting (assuming they don't import as well). Ok, maybe not much point on nintendo's part, but you get what I mean.
It's all about the huskies!
