Get cracking this September.

Konami has confirmed the official release date for forthcoming DS title, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

After UK chain store Game put up a very specific September 16th posting to get us frothing for the platform adventure, Konami was all too happy to confirm that as the official date for the promising title. Barring any slips, that is.

Developed and set after the critically acclaimed Game Boy Advance prequel, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, this DS follow-up has hero Soma Cruz taking on a mysterious cult (yes, another one) in their plan to resurrect Dracula (yes, again.) The game uses the touch screen to cast spells, while the DS' wireless connection allows 'souls' to be traded between machines to unleash new attacks.

DS line up is getting pretty sweet now, with nintendogs if thats your sort of thing out in august, advance wars out in september, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing out by xmas, and now this. Lookin good all in all.

Since this one seems to be a direct sequel to Aria of Sorrow you should try to play that first. The other two are also very good though, especially Harmony of Dissonance.

They said Animal Crossing would be out by the end of the year, 21 Nov, I think. Oh and add Mario and Luigi 2 and Metroid Prime Hunters too to that list but only if there's a decent single player.

November 21st is the NA release date, not Europes. Gamecube Europe shows November 2005, but I doubt it will be released on the same month as NA, but hey, you can always hope it does.

There just ain't enough games where you whip things in a dungeon. No wait, there's no whip. Damn.

It would be nice to know if this one has connectivity with the previous one. And if, how?
