Third XenoSaga on the way?
Could be. Unconfirmed.
Namco appears to be working on a third instalment in the XenoSaga RPG series judging by an update on a Japanese voice actor's website.
IGN reports that a translation of Koji Tsujitani's latest personal website reveals the Japanese actor is providing the voice of Voyager.
XenoSaga, originally expected to stretch to six episodes, is one of the highest profile PS2 RPG series never to trouble European shores. Although the Namco-developed title appeared in the US and became quite popular on import, it had thought to be done for after the second instalment proved relatively disappointing in the eyes of its fans.

Unfortunately, the level of artwork in the Xenosaga animated series was pretty mediocre. Personally you'd be better off watching the compilation of the cutscenes, they look much nicer.

EDIT: By the by, I think the XenoSagas are entertaining, decent games. Just wish they'd been done differently.

No, Xenosaga The Animation was a half-season TV anime. .hack//Twilight doesn't really add much to the overall .hack experience, it's more like a gaiden (side story) but with less plot and more fanservice.

Well, you could always go for the legit alternative and just import a US PStwo, seeing as how they have internationally compatible power adaptors. Might be an idea to wait until all the hue and cry over the PSP has calmed down though, since Sony Europe are destroying importers left right and centre.

"We are hoping to release Xenosaga II for Europe but this has not been
confirmed at present, so unfortunately I am unable to answer your questions
relating to the first Xenosaga. I would suggest that you contact me again
in a months time and hopefully I will have more information for you!
Kind regards,

The first Xenosaga appeared on a recent Spanish press release from SCEE that someone linked in the forums, but as we haven't seen any kind of confirmation since then I'd figured it was a mistake. Maybe not?

No, perhaps this weekend.

"Those who buy the newly-released European version of Tekken 5 will not only be privy to Namco's latest offering in its flagship fighting series, but will also receive a catalogue that promises a European release of Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse. This release will mark the first time that a title in the series has been released in Europe, including the title that the Xenosaga series is loosely based on, Xenogears.
Other than the revelation that the European version is "Coming Soon," no specific release date has been mentioned. As always, RPGamer will report when more specifics are unveiled."

Surely it's madness to release episode II without first releasing episode I?

"Hi,
Thank you for your email.
I am pleased to tell you that we do have every intention in releasing this
title for Europe but I am afraid that nothing has been officially confirmed
as yet.
Kind regards,
