Fable: Lost Chapters for Xbox? News

Xbox PC News by Ellie Gibson

29 April, 2005

Rumour has it that Fable: The Lost Chapters, the PC version of Lionhead's console RPG, could be heading onto Xbox too. That's Xbox "too", not Xbox "2". Although, now you come to mention it...

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Lost Chapters features improved graphics and extra content including, according to reports, new missions, spells, creatures and weapons not found in the original version.

It's thought that Lionhead is now working on a port of the PC remake for Xbox, as suggested by Peter Molyneux recently when he told UK website CVG that "a kind of Director's Cut" for Xbox owners would be good.

He went on to add that The Lost Chapters features around a third more content than the original Fable, which makes us wonder if the Xbox could really handle all that extra work. Now, the Xbox 360 certainly could... Well, you never know.

When we contacted Lionhead today a representative refused to confirm or deny the rumours, and would only say "No comment." Bah. We'll keep you posted.

Like Morrowind, basically.

I liked Fable, it was cool. Simple, strightforward, no replay value, but great graphics, nice quests, brilliant design touches. I did get fucked off when I upgraded nothing but melee the whole game, and then couldn't kill the last boss, cos of an arbitrary design decision. Ho hum.

I love Fable - one of the only games where I could actually care about new weapons, armour etc as I got to see pretty much everything, and I just generally enjoyed the whole world/characters etc.

Will have to get this.

I see no reason why most of these people wouldn't have played the game.

Not everyone is completely uncritical about everything, you know.

I think Sprout was referring (I know I was) to the retarded comment by Xboxh8r. I wadn´t blown away by Fable, but it was a decent game.

Sounds very much like they released it unfinished in order to meet a deadline and this is actually the completed product.

By the xbox not handling the new features is to do with the world ageing and tree's growing along with you, and more graphical effects, using up alot more cpu time that the xbox simply doesnt have
