I have heard that the Japanese version of Motorstorm will ship with no multiplayer component and that the American version will have multiplayer support.

No, AoE, it simply made no sense, Motorstorm doesn't have framerate issues in any of the newest builds. Ask anyone with the PS3 dl demo.

If it was a joke about skidding and sliding then it would make sense, but yours doesn't. Not that it matters, you take every chance to discredit Sony, whether the game is great or not. Which from what I know, it is.

On the 360 Tony Hawks had to be downgraded because it couldn't even run smooth at 720p (it's running at 1024 x 580, I'm led to believe). It running like crap is the fault of the game, not any hardware it runs on.

Hughes: Fillrate is not as big a issue on Xbox 360 as it is on PS3. The reason why they have scaled it down is probably because that is the highest resolution they could run at with 4xFSAA.

And really, fillrate is not really the big issue in games on next-gen console. It is only if you are trying to squeeze too many full screen effects, shadows, several passes but that would mean the game was slow all the time. Particle effects could potentially slow it down but I haven't seen an insane amount in Tony Hawk, it mostly seem like just a matter of either streaming new data or just too much geometry thrown at it. But fillrate, it is so easily fixed by removing, scaling down, optimizing whatever effect you are trying to do.

The biggest reason people are buying PS3s is the future games that they anticipate and being a part of the hype.

Same reason people bought the 360 last year at launch.

Hmmmm... AoE did the Xbox always pump out the better gfx of third party games or was there a time that when it was the new kid on the block the performance was actually worse than the PS2 counterpart.

Plus X360 games looked no better than Xbox games at launch.

That makes no sense at all. Why would someone deprive themselves of a console because of what fanboys say. There might be something wrong with you if you can be persuaded in that fashion.

I couldn't imagine myself not getting a PS3 because an Xbox fanboy saying, "PS3 is too expensive, Bluray isn't necessary for games, you can play the same games for $200 less."

Or not getting an Xbox 360 because some PS3 fanboy saying stuff like "Xbox 1.5 is weaker than the PS3, DVD format isn't large enough for Next Gen games, Next Gen doesn't start untill PS3, Xbox 360 isn't real Next Gen."

If anything I'd be turned off the fanboy and not the console. Anyone dumb enough to base their purchasing decisions on crap some fanboy says on a forum doesn't even deserve to own a console.

No Jedi Ninja Gaiden isn't as nice looking as Kameo,well in my opinion it isn't anyway.Ninja Gaiden was probably the best looking game on the xbox too,but as it was a Tecmo game there weren't exactly many different textures in there,like most things they do (Especially main characters,who I feel look like porcelein dolls)everything was very shiny and smooth,but wasn't covered in many smaller details.

IMO AdamOfEternia is right about the PS3. Sure he could have worded some of his comments more ..erm.. sypathetically but c'mon... the hype surrounding the PS3 and the disappointment felt by many is tangible. IMO.

rdexter: I can give you links to sites all over the net where people are criticizing motorstorm over the demo. What would that prove? I saw the game, I gave my opinion. I actually want it to be good so please don't make me out to be someone that's panning it for no reason.

Oh, and even a fanboy article still mentions the slowdown so I'm still worried.
