With the PSP's 2.80 system software now available to all regions, Sony's also thrown up a demo of World Tour Soccer 2.

The demo's available through www.yourpsp.com now.

There's still no word on a European version of the Mercury Meltdown demo we told you about yesterday though.

Ignition said it was currently talking to Sony Europe about doing something similar here, but for the moment this is a Japan-only promotion.

Finally, you can get a full rundown on what's changed in the relatively slight 2.80 system upgrade either on www.yourpsp.com or Sony America's rather more straightforward System Update page.

It'll happen... eventually.

It's nice to see that Sony has finally got the ball rolling with these playable demoes, although somewhat eratic depending on wwhich region your from. :/

These demos work on all regions, i downloaded Mercury 2 demo from the Japanese website...

I too had no probs downloading Mercury 2. The demo's either region free or they haven't picked up on it, in which case I would suggest you go and get it. Two free demos on my m. stick in one day. Result.
