Full SingStar Rocks track listing News

PlayStation 2 News by Ellie Gibson

28 February, 2006

Sony has announced the full list of tracks for the latest instalment in the SingStar series - revealing that none other than The Scorpions are topping the bill.

That's right, you too will be able to follow the Moskva down to Gorky Park with SingStar Rocks!, which features early nineties anthem the Wind of Change. And that's not all (though obviously, we'd buy a copy for that alone) - there are plenty of other classic tracks, including the Rolling Stones' Paint It Black, Teenage Kicks by The Undertones and Thin Lizzy's The Boys Are Back In Town.

For those who like their rock a bit more new fangled, there are tracks by all manner of trendy popular music acts, including The Bravery, The Hives, The Killers, 'The' Razorlight and 'The' Snow Patrol. Not to mention the excellent Kings of Leon, Jet and KT Tunstall for the ladies.

SingStar Rocks! is due out this spring. Here's the full track listing:

  • Bloc Party - Banquet
  • Blur - Song 2
  • Bowling for Soup - 1985
  • Coldplay - Speed Of Sound
  • Deep Purple - Smoke on the water
  • Franz Ferdinand - Do You Want To
  • Gwen Stefani - What Are You Waiting For?
  • Hard Fi - Hard To Beat
  • Hole - Celebrity Skin
  • Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl
  • Kasabian - Club Foot
  • Keane - Everybodys Changing
  • Kings of Leon - The Bucket
  • KT Tunstall - Black horse and the Cherry Tree
  • Maximo Park - Apply Some Pressure
  • Nirvana - Come As You Are
  • Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
  • Queens of the Stone Age - Go With the Flow
  • Razorlight - Somewhere Else
  • Snow Patrol - Run
  • Stereophonics - Dakota
  • The Bravery - An Honest Mistake
  • The Cardigans - My Favourite Game
  • The Hives - Hate To Say I Told You So
  • The Killers - Somebody Told Me
  • The Offspring - Self-Esteem
  • The Rolling Stones - Paint It, Black
  • The Scorpions - Wind of Change
  • The Undertones - Teenage Kicks
  • Thin Lizzy - The Boys are Back In Town

I like most of the tracks here. Will be interesting to see if they "work" with the Singstar format.

I love Singstar like it was one of my kidneys. Pretty good list in my book. Some real drunken belters in there, which is what its all about.

Cue yawnsome discussions about what constitutes "real rock music".

French sites are quoting April 26, so 21st in the UK sounds close enough.

P.S. Can you believe they put Extreme: More Than Words on the German version, but not the English??? Gits.

"But where's Radiohead? : ( " - Hicksy

As much as I love [old] Radiohead, they're not really known for their drunken-sing-along-happiness. We could have a bit of High & Dry or Karma Police on there but I think people might be in danger of self-harm.

I might just have to buy this though. It might even be a good way to get the missus into gaming (then I might escape lectures when I want a 4 hour gaming session). Apart from Gwen fucking Stefani that's a pretty good tracklist.

Paint it Black? /Applauds.

Where their current popularity with the public merits it :)

Even I struggle to come up with anything more obscure than Dillinger Escape Plan O_o

what an odd list. i'd have thought it would have more 70s or 80s songs. also, is it just me or is the list pretty short?

Would have been nice to see some The Cure, The Smiths and R.E.M, but I'm still ludicrously excited about this.

Shame James - Sit Down, isn't there. That's an indie-rock singalong classic...
