Splinter Cell 5 360-exclusive

It's money hats all round tonight.

So anyway, apparently there was some sort of press event tonight. I don't know, I was too busy crying into the BBC's teleprinter of the Liverpool game. 3-0! 3-2! Please stop that!

But, for those of you who care about such things, and are looking for somewhere specific to comment on some of the news, here's another: Ubisoft's next Splinter Cell title after Double Agent will be a console-exclusive on Xbox 360.

We're guessing the last bit means it'll be out on PC as well. We'll see.

Microsoft reckons that's "a testament to the ability of Xbox 360 to deliver a complete experience no other console can match". I reckon it's a testament to the ability of Microsoft to deliver a bank balance no other platform holder can match.

There's no word on what the next Splinter Cell after Double Agent - which is due out on 360 on 20th October, incidentally - will be like, but that massive Ubisoft leak the other day did reveal the working title "Splinter Cell: Conviction".
