Psychonauts, a game for whose form we are very much warm, is coming to Europe after all and will be coming out on Xbox, PS2 and PC as it has-slash-is in Americaland, according to Majesco's Europe MD Jason Dutton.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Dutton said that a "top five publisher" was being lined up to handle the game's release over here.

Given that we love it so, we've been asking around to try and find out who that someone is, but so far we've heard a lot of admiration and not a lot of commitment.

Still, the news is positive enough on its own. Designed by Tim "Grim Fandango" Schafer and pals at DoubleFine Productions, Psychonauts is a brilliantly entertaining mixture of 3D platforming and the funny.

We'll actually be reviewing it quite soon, so watch out for that. Until then, dancing is encouraged.

Oh! While we're on the subject. Where do you find the scripts on the theatre level? I've got the one from the critic, but I get the feeling I need a different one in order to reach the balloon.

Top game though. I want Psychonauts toys. Well, really I just want a toy Dogen with his little tin foil hat.

Yeah, so use the a different script for a different stage set scenario. (Try playing around with the good/bad spotlight too.

I'm awaiting MikeD's response on this one...I remember what happened in the what's new comments upon its US release...

Still, looks good though, I love the character designs, stylized, cartoony, humourous, backed up by a seemingly fresh platform game. Plus any game from Scahfer will do.

I'm sold!

It's just typical that this news comes just a couple of days after I ordered a PC copy off Ebay! Oh well, at least it caught me before I went and wasted even more money on a USB controller and some 5.1 surround sound PC speakers.:)

I looked on the EG release list and they've penned it in TBC next year :|

I hope this isn't accurate!

Jeez, I always thought it'd be out here a month or so after the US; didn't have any idea that they weren't planning to publish it here at all! Why does this only happen to good games? WHY?!?!

Agreed - US review in this months PC ZONE sounded good, tried the cover-disc demo and it was more of a "humpf" than "hoo-haa".
Other than the occassionally amusing conversations with the other kids it felt like any other 3d platformer where you abstractly collect things.
Shame.

Just played the demo. OMFG is this good! Long time since I've enjoyed a games so much (Diablo2, Baldur's Gate, Beyond Good and Evil, ICO).
/Goes to find a shop on the internet
