Metal Slug Wii details, shots
Due out in early 2007.
The Nintendo Wii version of Metal Slug Anthology is due out in early 2007, says SNK, with some screenshots to prove it.
Actually I'm not sure how they prove it, but they do go some way to confirming SNK's boast that Anthology comprises Metal Slugs 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Each is "arcade perfect", the bashful publisher notes, with two-player co-operative options.
Overall the package will also feature some unlockable items and bonus games, and is expected to take advantage of the Wii's unique control scheme.
SNK Playmore president Ben Herman has previously said the Wii-mote will be "used in a new and unique way that enhances the gameplay," but for now all we're told is that it features "full support for the Nunchuk controller".
Watch out for more on Metal Slug Anthology soon, and don't forget it's also due out on PSP.

Should be good on Wii IMO.

That's why I'm sceptical as well. MS has joypad written all over it. I'll be interested to see if they can make a good control port.

Not sure it is delayed. It's supposed to be out on 13th of December in JP, early 2007 seems to be the PAL date.
Must have, indeed!

I hope the different systems make it into the game so you can pick which one you like the most

Also nice that they allow each player to choose his own scheme, obvious as that may sound.

But i'd like to see it using "classic" controls too.
