Harryhausen gets into games

Ray Harryhausen, the stop-motion animator best known for his work on classic films like Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans, has launched a new venture that will see official Harryhausen videogames appearing on shelves for the first time.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, he's has teamed up with Mindfire Entertainment to establish the new Ray Harryhausen Presents brand, under which all manner of media will be releaed.

Two film scripts are already in development - one based around Greek mythology, and the other concerning alien invasion. He's also producing a series of TV movies and merchandising, plus those aforementioned games, but no further details have been revealed so far.

Just goes to show, you're never too old to get into gaming - Harryhausen is 86 next month.
