Nearly four years after rhythm action title Gitaroo Man arrived on the PS2, Koei has announced that a PSP version is on the way.
Gitaroo Man Lives! will star our hero, who's very much "back and ready to rock", it says here.
The game promises to make clever use of the PSP's control system and will have a wi-fi feature that allows two players to either join forces or battle it out.
There's no details of the playlist yet but apparently it's "worth blowing your speakers for", and you can expect some lovely colourful visuals too.
Gitaroo Man Lives! is due out this autumn.

Here's an interesting fact about this game for ya:-
According to one of the reps at the Koei stand at E3, the PSP title is being developed primarily in mind for the European market, with the US release being held sometime after the EU one... FACT!! Now I know the original is a treasured piece of the video gaming artform but I don't recall it setting the EU charts on fire... Still, no complaining here! Let's just hope the readjustment for nub controlling does not damage the high level of difficulty this series has :oD |

@nekotcha - New "duet" mode for 2 player Adhoc wifi; two new levels to single player; possibly something else that's slipped my mind... Still, it's portable Gitaroo Man!! Hurrah and huzzah!! \o/

Its a shame its not a brand new Gitaroo Man game (just the old game with 4 new tracks and a few new modes) but still, if it shifts a decent enough number of units you never know.
I'm just glad Koei havent given up on it, and besides, now that I've thrashed Ouendan on every difficulty I need another off-its-head rhythm-action game to play. |
