No Alien Hominid for Euro Cube
PS2 and Xbox only, says ZOO.
Following the really rather excellent news that a Eurogamer Signature Edition of Alien Hominid is now available for Xbox and PS2, publisher ZOO Digital has confirmed that the game won't be coming to GameCube.
"ZOO Digital is dedicated to bringing great games to gamers all over Europe," the company said in a statement.
"We are particularly proud to be able to offer Playstation 2 and Xbox gamers the excellent Alien Hominid and are working extremely hard to make sure that you'll rate this as one of your gaming highlights of the year."
Here comes the But...
"While we would love to be able to support GameCube owners with this title, the current and emerging retail support situation in Europe means that it is not economically viable for ZOO to release Alien Hominid on the GC at this time.
"Please rest assured that all avenues to a GC release have been explored at length, but our conclusions remain the same. ZOO will be focusing exclusively on delivering an excellent European version of Alien Hominid with some great new features not seen before - but only for PS2 and Xbox."
So there you have it.
By the way, did we mention that a limited Eurogamer Signature Edition run of Alien Hominid is now available at the bargain price of £23.99? Click here to buy the PS2 version or here for Xbox.
Each game is signed by lead programmer Tom Fulp and lead artist Dan Paladin, and comes with a limited edition T-shirt which ladies will go crazy for. Those of us who are ladies can assure you of that, oh yes. But hurry up, since they're going pretty fast - and we're not just saying that.

It's a downward spiral, games don't sell so they get less space.
Another sign of poor retail showing is Sonic Gems collection, it's a GC exclusive in the states but on both GC and PS2 in Europe.

sad but true... and Europeans get sc*wed again.
if I had a choice I would've taken the GC version.

I'm kinda sure I heard it wasn't coming to GC in Europe months ago...In fact, it was announced only for PS2 and Xbox here at the end of January. Linkage: http://w ww.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=7397
Maybe it was just a reminder, or somethin'.
