Exclusive photos: Giz man and Ferrari in happier times

I.e. before it got smashed up.

Eurogamer has obtained some exclusive photos of former Gizmondo executive Stefan Eriksson and his Enzo Ferrari - before the recent car crash which left the $1m car lying in bits all over a Californian highway.

Eriksson shouldn't be too upset though, since it turns out he's got a spare. Take a look at the pics, which were taken at the launch of Gizmondo's flagship Regent Street store, and you can see the pair - the red one, which was totally mangled earlier this week, and the black one, which presumably is still safely tucked away in the garage at Knight Industries.

You can see Eriksson in the pics, too - that's him in the suit, wearing that big classy silver chain.

Sadly, we haven't been able to uncover any pictures of Dietrich, the mysterious German man who Eriksson claims was driving his Enzo when it crashed. Guess we'll just have to keep looking - much like the LAPD.

    Just look at the guy!

    No, really, look at him.

Christ. He looks shady as hell, like someone you'd see on Watchdog who would always leg it when they tried to get an interview.

    Edit - Beautiful car(s) though..

I hope he got a bloody ticket for parking in the bus lane! Actually, make that 2 tickets.
  • Teeth #6 6 years ago

If I were a bus driver, I'd be a bastard anyway, so I'd probably just crash the bus into those cars. Crash!
  • ram #7 6 years ago

yeh ticket him! A £60 fine will bring him to his financial knees.

I'm going to park my Rover 25 there this afternoon, whilst I shop. I imagine that will draw quite a crowd as well.

Damn the Enzo looks good in black.

    The dodgey lucky b*!tard.
  • UncleLou #9 6 years ago

He has, or rather had, two of them?!

"If I were a bus driver, I'd be a bastard anyway, so I'd probably just crash the bus into those cars. Crash!"

I'd love to see that, but then again I wouldn't like to see such great cars being destroyed. Bet the bus driver could get away with it too, but then he'd probably get whacked by the obviously dodgey as hell gangster.

Anyway, is this guy going down for what happened then, as his story is obviously complete and utter donkey bollocks, and he was pissed. If it was any normal person it would be a short prison term at least, and he was obviously driving dangerously too.

I hate him so much... that black one... omigosh...

edit: Sorry, he HAD two Enzo's. May as well adjust that.

    Agreed.

And I guess money still can't buy that guy a sense of style.

    hah... kerrSMASHHHHH

bet it cost a fair bit to get across to america

Enzo Schmenzo; they all seem to be owned by footballers, crooks and pop stars i.e. the arrivisites for whom status is all. I think this devalues the car. You see countless exotic cars being driven through London at 10km/h by moneyed chavs. If that won't gradually destroy your brand, I don't know what will (cf. Louis Vuitton, Burberry etc)

I'd be far more impressed if he had a Gulf Porsche 917 circa 1971. Now that's a car!

awww man, can't we have some crash screenshots. I love to see a thing of beauty be destroyed.

spong has some very sad shots of the ex-enzo, and som interesting little comments from the sheriff...
seems like despite all his money, mr eriksson may not actually own the ex-enzo. oh well, at least it wont affect his no-claims bonus then.

Hang on. This is one of the Gizmondo guys. And he got to buy a Ferrari. No wait, two Ferraris.
This is Gizmondo we're talking about, right?
  • Stormflood_UK #20 6 years ago

Jameri..... JKay also has a black Enzo.
  • captain-future #21 6 years ago

How proletarian! There are two Ferraris in the picture - this man has no exclusive taste. :-)

"Christ. He looks shady as hell, like someone you'd see on Watchdog who would always leg it when they tried to get an interview"

He looks out of shape though. Like he is sweating just from lifting his cash filled ass out of his car.

I bet I could take him. If one of you guys distracts the pair of minders he no doubt has (perhaps by letting them beat you senseless on the other side of the street), I'll hop out from behind a bus shelter and poke him in the ear with a pencil or something. I'll make it look like he had some kind of drunken sketching accident.

If I'm cornered I'll say a German bloke called Dietrich did it. No court can touch you if you say that apparently.
  • pantherboy #23 6 years ago

Theres a few rumours that Dietrich is in fact the evil twin of 'The stig' from top gear

Not long before Ferrari appoint 50 Cent as the brand ambassador. I agree with the earlier comments, adding that if Ferrari had manufactured only 399 cars, they should have looked out who were buying them since they sold them only by invitation. They should have looked out who they were being passed on.
