Grandia goes online
US Grandia III next month too.
Grandia's going to spawn a massively multiplayer online RPG within 2006, according to the president of one of developer Game Arts' major shareholders.
Morishita Kazuki, president of Gungho Online Entertainment, made the comments in an interview with Japanese site 4Gamer, picked up on by GameSpot - hopefully it'll be out before the Tokyo Game Show, which starts on September 22nd, Kazuki reportedly said. Gungho also hopes to have it launch alongside its new portal site.
Obviously it's not terribly likely to turn up here soon, but there is good news on the Grandia III front - no news on a European version, but the American translation is out on February 14th on PS2.
We'll let you know what it's like.

"Q: Will GameArts continue to develop console-based (offline) RPGs after having become a consolidated subsidiary of GungHo? Are you already actively planning or developing games for next-generation platforms?
A: Of course we are also working on a next-generation title. Preparations are already underway. Also, I'm thinking that we will be able to announce quite a surprise this year."
