Play new Zelda in Edinburgh!

Games Festival line-up unveiled.

Nintendo will present a trio of UK exclusives at the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival this year - including the first playable code of forthcoming GameCube title Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Nintendogs and Battalion Wars will also debut at the festival.

The organisers of the festival have confirmed that Nokia N-Gage, BT and GAME will join a line-up which already includes Microsoft and Nintendo.

Nokia will sponsor a conference session focussing on the world of mobile gaming and will join Vodafone on the discussion panel. "Key announcements" are promised from both telecoms giants.

In addition Nokia will sponsor the after-show party, organised by fashion label Joystick Junkies.

Retailer GAME has also pledged support, planning a host of initiatives for its entire network of stores across Scotland, while Microsoft is teaming up with BT Broadband to bring Xbox Live to the festival.

Nintendo representatives will take part in panel discussions looking at the issues surrounding the console and handheld market as well as the cultural impact of gaming.

And finally, Gizmondo Europe MD Carl Freer will join Nintendo and Sony for a conference session titled Handholding the Consumer.

EIEF is jointly organised by TIGA and ELSPA, with the support of Scottish Enterprise, and will take place on August 10-14 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Further informations and delegate bookings are available at the official EIEF website.
