New cars for Test Drive 360

Still playing Test Drive Unlimited? Then you might be interested to know that Atari and Eden Studios have released some more content for the Xbox 360 version.

First up there's a patch (sorry, auto-update), which hopefully sorts out some of the save-file corruption bugs, and along with that you can also nab various new cars.

Free to everyone are the Chevrolet Corvette C1 1957 and the Lexus IS 350, and if you've got 350 Microsoft points spare you can also download the "Test Drive Collection - Volume 1".

That consists of the free Corvette and six others - the RUF RGT, the Koenigsegg CCR, the Noble M400, the Corvette C6 Convertible, the Ferrari 250 GTO 1962, and the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition.

With the pack installed, you'll be able to buy the cars from their respective dealers in-game.

    Nice that Atari are offering TWO free cars as well as the 350 point pack as it means everyone can have something whether they want to pay or not.

    I loved this game for a few weeks but this is too late for me, as the game just didnt have the staying power to keep me interested. And theres so many cars in the game anyway, that I just cant find any reason to get more AND pay for the privilege. Devs have to consider the life cycle of their titles before planning an update cycle, they needed to do this in the first month or not at all.

    And anyone posting "first" and nothing else should be banned for being a tard.

    TDU is still keeping my attention - another island with more roads would be good.

    $5,000,000 in game cash to buy the Ferrari 250!!! That sucks donkey dick.

    I think if you've just paid for the bloody cars as downloadable content, you should automatically have them, not have to buy them again!

    Regardless, the Lambo is great, the RUF is pretty nice. The 'Egg' is mental. There needed to be more content regarding missions/races etc though as the game needs a bit of a kick in the butt in order to get going again.

    Wheteher it is down to MS or Atari, this DLC does need to get out quicker otherwise the game has kind of been and gone and nobody is really playing it anymore.

    It is a pity really - the game's premise and setting were so promising, at one point it was being thought of as one of THE games to get for 360. Pity it has apparently fizzled out.

    I am still waiting for the PC version though. A PS2 version is on the way too, but we can all imagine how ghastly that will be!

    Yes its a bit daft and pointless when people write "first" I agree, but its hardly a capital offense is it.

    Balls to that then. That's the only car I was interested in and I'm buggered if I'm then spending hours saving up the virtual cash for it.

    I thought that because the difference of prices of TDU between here and the US that additional content would be free for us?

    I must have mis-interpreted it when I read it I guess......

    The is350 is the new model. I wish they put the GS430 in there!!!

    Hopefully they'll release some new missions or something soon.

    Did anyone else get turned off to racing this online with how you're booted from the lobby after every race? Did they happen to fix that feature by any chance?

    I'd be willing to go online with it again if they fixed that nonsense, but that was enough to make me turn it off. That was the dumbest decision I've ever seen. Even in the demo you could stay in the lobby after a race!

    I am ashamed to admit I traded my copy of TDU for F.E.A.R (which was never a 9 in a million years compared to GoW....Grumble Gnash.)

    Nearly 3AM...God night shifts are long....Bored now.

    Bollox - got my map out and everything only to find those pesky Lexus peeps weren't letting me in... it's a gold member thing only and since I couldn't give a stuff about the gold benefits I'll have to wait until it's available for everyone :/
