Prince of Persia 3 titled
When two thrones go to war...
Ubisoft has announced the official title for the third instalment in the Prince of Persia series, due out on PC, PS2 and Xbox later this year.
Prince of Persia The Two Thrones is said to take the best bits of the Sands of Time and Warrior Within and combine them with new gameplay elements, such as a new Speed Kill system, chariot combat racing and a second playable character.
The game's storyline begins with our hero and love interest Kaileena returning to Babylon, only to find there's a bloody great war going on. Kaileena is brutally murdered and her death unleashes the Sands of Time, which is not a good thing.
The prince, cast out onto the streets and hunted as a fugitive, finds himself gradually being possessed by the spirit of the deadly Dark Prince - a nice new picture of whom you can see in our PoP 3 screenshot gallery.
“Prince of Persia The Two Thrones will allow players to explore the two different sides of the Prince’s divided soul,” said executive producer Yannis Mallat.
“The Prince will battle with his inner demons and explore his alter ego. He’ll struggle with the boundaries between good and evil in his quest to regain his rightful place as ruler of Babylon.” And ting, he did not add.
Prince of Persia The Two Thrones is due out in December. To learn more about the game, why not take a look at our recent preview.

the best bits of WOW, i don't remember any of those. Sands of Time was a fantastic game though, if not a little short (6-8 hours)

The only problem is that what made SoT great was that it wasn't like WW.

Perhaps they mean the gameplay, look, acting, presentation, style and feeling of SoT with the sales of Warrior Within.

Speaking of WW, the sheer hatred for the title is surprising but understandable. I still maintain that had there been no SoT, WW would have looked a great title in its own right. Point is, even the lowest denomination in the series is still some of the best gaming around!!!
Ubisoft seem to be on a roll these days. Far Cry, PoP, Brothers in Arms, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, BEyond Good and Evil, Myst.. It seems they are the best game publisher around these days. All they lack is an illegal street racing title - then they will become even more attractive to EA!!!

IGN says it's out on Cube, so I can only assume it is a mistake on EG's part.
And if not, and they have cancelled it, I will not be happy!

You forget King Kong
As for the illegal racing.. 182 something.. seemed to be there - and wait they have some streetball things too... bleah...
POP for me is... w no expectation - despit some issues.. i enjoyed WW too - yet.. i get a bit bored about the POP.
Somethings tells me though that the PSP version (surely on the way) might get my full attention.. but.. who knows? EA?

So, that's the Sands of Time then?
