Bad Company makes solo strides.

Electronic Arts is primed to reveal details of DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company, with US mag GameInformer previewing the previously unannounced game in its September issue.

Bad Company will be the second Battlefield game released on Xbox 360, after Modern Combat, and the PlayStation 3's first, obviously.

Beyond that, details are few to none, but DICE has previously spoken of a next-generation title, bound exclusively to consoles, in development and due out in 2007 - which seems like a neat fit.

According to GameInformer, DICE is aiming to deliver "the best single-player experience ever in a Battlefield game", but don't go cancelling your Live subscription just yet, since there'll be plenty of multiplayer to talk about too.

Expect more details when EA lifts the lid itself.

Some working comms and properly implemented clan support would be good too. Regardless I still play far too much BF2:MC on the 360 than is healthy and I'm excited to see what they do with this one. Initial screens look like this is nothing to do with 2142, closer to current or near current time.

Some screenshots. I 'm not sure wether they are supposed to be in engine or pre rendered. If they indeed are in-engine they do look good.

The pics in the first post are from BF. They show up just fine for me. The Killzone pics in the second post were posted as a comparison.

Perfectly reasonable for in-engine. Note not in-game. The Jeep looks to be similar in standard to current vehicles in BF2MC. Player models beefed up for cut scenes where they don't have to draw much around them.
