Io's Kane & Lynch revealed
Hitman dev doing something new.
Hitman developer Io Interactive is hard at work on a new PC and Xbox 360 game called Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.
Magazine previews are starting to roll out, and our spies in the field tell us it's being handled by the team behind the underrated Freedom Fighters.
Apart from that, we don't know a great deal - other than it's a third-person action game, of sorts, about a mercenary and a psychopath who happen upon a lot of cash, with co-op, squad tactics and online multiplay.
There's no word on a release date at the moment and Io owners Eidos are keeping quiet, but expect further details to turn up in due course.

Looks great, but jumping the Army of Two bandwagon, maybe ? Well, I have a little bit more faith in IO interactive than EA.....

Have IO been released from the Hitman shackles long enough to be allowed to do a new game?! Cool. Shame it's not Freedom Fighters 2 (FF = best third-person shooter ever), but at least we can safely assume it will have superb rag-doll effects. Shame about the shit name, mind.
PS - for clarification, Eidos are the re-named gaming branch of SCi Entertainment Ltd. They own other development studios including Pivotal Games (Conflict: Desert Storm) and Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider Legend)
PPS - I also have a lot more faith in IO than anything EA can produce.
