SEGA and FromSoftware will be releasing some free downloadable content for Chromehounds at midnight tomorrow night (GMT) to make up for the server problems the game experienced around launch.

The update consists of two new weapons, an assist part and a new camouflage pattern inspired by World War II designs, so there's not much, but those of you enjoying the multiplayer side of the game - easily the best bit - might have some use for them.

The new weapons are the WP_SG003, a sniper cannon with a smaller magazine to reduce weight, WH_HC034, which is a giant cannon (and apparently an improvement on HC1500/D), while the assist part is AX_AM002, which helps to deflect bullets.

Judging by some of the issues many of us are still having, they better get used to handing out free stuff by way of apology. I really hope this is getting patched today...

I really want to like Cromehounds.. I played the demo and found it dull.
But if I see it on ebay for £20 I think I would give it a second chance.

@Emilia'sHorse - if you want to play it, play it quick before the multiplayer dries out and people move onto something else, because its really not even worth £20 for the single player portion.

Nice to see the WH_HC034 out, HC1500/D sorely needed the improvements. Also cool that they added the good ol' WP_SG003, as I was missing it extremely much as I played the game.

Last time the servers were working in the evening of the day they updated - hopefully this will be another expansion to the number of Xbox live players.

Since the original update the game was running really well online - with the exception of yesterday evening.

Yeah, with the exception of the night I get to play - sounds about right :(
